District 6 RTM Candidates

Alexis Voulgaris

19 Midbrook Lane, Old Greenwich (4 term incumbent)

OG resident 11 years.  RTM member 8 years--missed only 1 District meeting in 8 years/perfect attendance for Committee meetings. Currently Chair, RTM Health and Human Services Committee (2 years). Community Activities: OGA Board member, Neighbor to Neighbor volunteer (4 yrs), EMS and ISD PTA member. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (20 yrs)

I enjoy having the privilege of serving on the RTM as one of the few members in District 6 with school age children.  I am especially interested in floodwater management, maintaining low property taxes, properly maintaining Binney Park, and ensuring that we have strong/high performing schools.

Gunnar Klintberg

22 Shore Road, Old Greenwich (petition candidate)

My wife Jamie and I have lived in the same house, for 30+ years. Involved with the office expansion/commuter traffic issues at Soundview Farms in Stamford. Formed Committee to Preserve Old Greenwich with OGA, getting a freeze on expansion, plus a conservation easement.  Attend P&Z meetings to help protect the character of Old Greenwich. Wife is an OG-based psychotherapist. Co-founded a small private equity firm in 1986.

After having lived here for such a long time and finally slowing down at work I now believe I have the time to get more involved in the community. I have always been interested in P&Z issues and in the preservation of the character of Old Greenwich. Main concerns: over-development, traffic and protection of open land. Member of Greenwich Tree Conservancy and Friends of Greenwich Point.

Jacqueline Kennedy Hammock

51 Forest Ave #93, Old Greenwich (incumbent)

I grew up in Greenwich and attended public school here, as have my grown children.  I have a financial background and have been a real estate broker for 28 years.  I've been on the RTM since 2006 and served on the Budget Overview and Public Works Committees.

Greenwich has enjoyed low taxes over the years and I would like to keep it that way while still maintaining and  improving our infra-structure.

Michael Carter

32 Lockwood Drive, Old Greenwich (incumbent)

Greenwich relies heavily on its various volunteer groups. I feel it is important to contribute what expertise I may have to help maintain the quality of life and efficient delivery of quality services and facilities that we all have come to expect from our Town.

Nishani Naidoo

My husband and I moved to Old Greenwich from New York City in 2007.  At the time, I was working full time as an attorney (I had my own practice).  I am now a full time Mom to a three year old girl and 6 month old boy.

It's an opportunity to help shape our community, be involved and give back.

We have lived in OG for 20 years.  My husband Ernest is an artist; our son, Field went to GHS; I have an executive search & career coaching business, and I have a PhD in Education.  I am the Secretary for the RTM Appointments Committee.

The quality of life in Greenwich is important to my family.  Issues around our schools, open space, flooding, budgets, and transportation are on-going and vital to our daily lives.  I want to be part of the discussion and have a voice and a vote.
